It was not all that long ago in human history in which we slept in 2 4 hour chunks instead of 8 hours in one block and we revert to this behavior in lightless environments. Is middle of the night insomnia a fallacy and we are engineered to wake and then we stress ourselves out making it into a problem?

Fragmented sleep, my personal nemesis, right? Well I guess caffeine for morning people causes even greater fragmented sleep that in night owls. Caffeine isn't the only fragmented sleep maker though, so have hope night owls that you too can blame your poor sleep on something.
