If you'd like, I can take the time to write out in detail why I take the following supplements. I thought I would at least get it written out what I am currently taking and what I am considering adding.
Note: this is what I'm taking and in no way suggesting anyone do the same cuz I don't have MD following my name. Just saying, be smart. Don't nuke aluminum balls in your microwave!
Magnesium Oxide: I will be switching to a chelated Magnesium as soon as I run out of my current stock. I take magnesium for migraines, headaches, and because of my keto diet to make sure I have the basics covered.
Kelp: I take kelp as I eat almost entirely home cooked foods and use pink Himalayan salt so I am lacking iodine in my diet.
Vitamin D3: This is a duh, right? In case you aren't aware, many of us don't get enough natural sunlight and don't produce enough D3 naturally. I started taking this years ago to help with my pain levels. Boosts your immune system. Overall health support.
Vitamin K-2 MK-7: Cardiovascular support.
Collagen: Joint support and to help with skin elasticity as I lose weight/body fat.
Cod Liver Oil: Omega 3s!
MCT Oil: Energy shot.
Tumeric: Joint and Heart support.
5-HTP: There are some studies that show 5-HTP can help with some brain injuries such as those in TBIs and may support PTSD. I take it to help with sleep, mood, and overall anxiety levels.
Multivitamin: This is a raw, whole food vitamin with probiotics. I only take 1 of these a day as a catch all in case I'm lacking in any areas nutritionally.
Additional supplements I am interested in adding:
Wheatgrass Juice Powder: for energy.
"Black" Ginger: Possibly boost physical fitness, improve sexual health
What supplements do you take and why?
