April Review, Quarantine Goals

So we are mixing things up. hahaha, I don't know who this we is, I am mixing things up.  Rachel Hollis recently mentioned in her Rise + Shine series that she recommends starting a new journal with your quarantine goals.  I realize that last sentence makes it seem like Hollis Co. is sponsoring this blog, butt nope, just a huge fan.  I wrote about the journaling and goal process here if you want to take a look.

Any who, so she suggested starting your goals with the focus of who you want to be coming out of quarantine.  The premise is that the quarantine will last 3 more months (doesn't matter, just go with it) and who do you want to be when the world presses play again.

I love the idea.  I am not ditching my previous goals, I'm pausing them and in most cases I'm still working actively on them, just in bite sized pieces.  So let's see how I did for April and where I'm going with my quarantine goals.

April goal review:

 Initiate sex once a week
 #75HARD , finished.
⨯  Body fat: 29% - weight and body fat have been at a stand still.
⨯ Weigh 160 lbs - see above
⨯ Lose 1/2"  from waist - see above
✔ Pay down $3,000 in debt - killed it
⨯ No clothing purchased: failed again
 complete Unit 20 - completed Unit 23
✔ church each week - we are watching online now
✔ journey on Saturday and Sunday
✔ prayers
✔ Bible reading
✔ 1 spiritual book per month
✔ 1 mental energy book per month
✔ release tension, set intention
✔ increase fun

Fun was the focus for April and in some ways I knocked it out of the park and in other ways I could have done better.  It's difficult at this moment for me to be an accurate judge as I'm feeling a little negative this month as I review the goals I had set.  Killed it with my herbal goals.  Killed it with my financial goals.  And it feels like I'm left wanting in all the other areas.

I know, I know, but these are my feels and I get to feel these feels and grow from it.

So... super excited to share my quarantine goals:
  • I weigh 160 lbs.
  • I am 24% body fat.
  • I run a mile in under 9:30.
  • I completed my burpees challenge.
  • I owe less than $44K.
  • I am an author.
  • I have completed Unit 34.
I have a couple other ones, but they aren't necessarily track able as they are more life vibe goals that I will feel if they happen.

Things I'm putting in place to make this happen in a 3 month time period:
  • Clean up diet:
    • more veggies
    • more green tea
    • 1 1/4 gallon of water daily (instead of 1 gallon)
    • intermittent fasting
      • This week I've set a goal to not eat after 3 p.m. as I wake up at 4 a.m.
    • adding wild blueberries
    • less dairy
    • less coffee
  • Workout:
    • yoga 3x a week
    • short run 2x a week - a minimum of 1/2 mile at 6.5+ mph pace
    • long run 1x a week - minimum of 1 mile, preferably 5k
    • complete 3,000 burpees
    • Body By Science workout 1x a week
    • 10,000 steps daily (I don't normally track this, but I have been working harder, longer hours and was finding I wasn't moving from my desk and getting less than 3,000 steps a day and that was WITH a morning workout)
  • Cut out unnecessary spending
  • Write every single day
  • Complete Units 22-34.

My focus for May is supposed to be physical ways to build energy.  I think I got that covered with the shift to a heavy focus on my physical well-being right now.

Question - when we come out of this (whether it's in a week, 3 months, or 2 years) in what areas do you want to shine?

I think my 2 biggest things are Athlete and Author.

I am 100% that BITCH and my life is LIMITLESS!
Bring the joy and be the light!
