Our Greatest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
-Marianne Williamson

We hold so much fear around our successes.  We fear others will see us fail.  We fear we will achieve it.  We fear we will be expected to do more, be more.  If we are successful in this thing, where will the expectations end?

What if you acknowledged the fear?  What if you say, "I see you fear" and you do the thing anyway?

What you've done in the past and what you do in the future does not define who you are in the moment.  Who you are in the future is determined by the choices you make next.  The choices you make next will be based off several different factors.  Is autopilot engaged?  Are you mindful?  Are you in fight or flight?  Do you feel healthy?  Are you afraid?

Take a moment right now and feel within your body.  Where is there tightness?  What would it feel like if you let that tightness go?  What emotions are you carrying in your body?  Do you have stress stored in your shoulders, back, neck, or head?  What would it feel like if you let that go?  Do you have anxiety caught up in your chest?  Does it feel like it's compressing your breath?  What would that feel like if you let that go?

When you look to the future, do you feel fearful?  What would that feel like if you let that go?  Take a moment and repeat to yourself as many times as you need, "In this moment, I am whole."
