I think the easiest places to begin are with your routines and meetings.
Morning routine -
do you read or watch the news? Cut that out. If you need to consume the news for particular topics set up Google Alerts. You can have Google scour the net for you on a particular topic and have it emailed to you daily. https://www.google.com/alerts
do you force yourself to meditate for 30 minutes? Does it benefit you? Would cutting it down to 10 minutes provide the same benefit? Would cutting it down to a 5 minute listen to your breath exercise while you ride the tram to work be of the same benefit?
Can you lay out your clothes the night before?
Do you oversleep and run around like a chicken with your head cut off? Set more alarms. Get to bed sooner. Prioritize good sleep.
Evening routine -
Do you watch tv for hours? Can you cut that out? Can your reduce it to one episode?
Do you sit on your phone for hours? Just stop.
Meetings -
Decline them.
Attend, but let them know you cannot stay the full time.
Attend, but don't stand around afterwards socializing. Socializing is important, but not that the expense of work and your stress levels.
What can you minimize in your life?
I found reading the bible daily did not support my spiritual life like I expected and it just ate up time.
I found that extensive planners that asked all sorts of questions to "help" me actually hindered me and reduced my effectiveness.
I found that having too many options in my closet took too much time choosing clothing.
I found that trinkets took too much time to dust so I either spent too much time cleaning or felt guilt over not cleaning.
I found freedom and mindfulness in a simplified morning routine. I journal. I pray/meditate. I read my herbal studies.
