Your Best

Did you know that your best will vary from day to day?

Your best fluctuates for many reasons such as sleep, tension, overall stress, energy levels.

Have you noticed that some days you knock it out of the park and other days it's the complete struggle bus.  Both days you've given the same effort.

If you've followed me any amount of time, you know one of my pet peeves is when someone says to give/they've given it 110%.  Which is a lie.  You can't give more than 100%.

I know this is obvious.  But, I feel like when you say you have given it 110% you are saying it's ok to over extend yourself.  You are saying it's ok to overwork yourself to the point where you are prone to injury, overwhelm, exhaustion, etc... This isn't healthy.  And creating an atmosphere that encourages this is quite disgusting.

Instead, do this.

1.  Acceptance.

2.  Acknowledgement.

3.  Build the muscle.

Accept that today, or some days, you will not be on your game.  Acknowledge that you have given it your best.  Keep on keeping on and you will build the muscles for excellence and the bar will raise.

If you are struggling to pay attention, do your best and know that the more you work on paying attention over time you will build that muscle.  That might have felt like it came out of no where, but I wanted to give an example that wasn't exercise/health based.  I talk a lot about fitness, but this isn't a fitness blog.

This is an 'out of the mouth of madness' blog.  lol.  yeet.
