Yeah, so ignore this post if you are: a minimalist, trying to get out of debt, not a consumer.... and yeah those are words that I would like to describe myself by. Le sigh.
So here is the truth, I picked up a few pieces during last year's sale and those pieces are some of my most beloved wardrobe pieces. I'm hoping for a couple more pieces like that this year. Next year I would like to be a little bit more focused and pick up a couple high end blazers. We will see.
This year I picked up several pairs of shoes for my children. They have some really great deals on shoes. I'll share which ones I ordered if you'd like. I wanted to highlight the pieces I am looking forward to that I ordered for myself.
Not impressed? These are available in a size 12!!! I don't know if you know, but most mules need to be sized up in. I wear a size 11. A ton of mules (like pretty much all) aren't available in a size 12.
I have a deep love for everything Frye. And I don't own a single piece. I know. Weird. I also have been hankering for a pair of cowboy boots. Sometimes 2 birds, 1 stone doesn't work out. Fingers crossed.
You catch a theme yet? I'm loving cognac right now. I really got a bug for it last year and have been wearing it a ton. Chestnut Tieks have been one of my most worn pair of shoes this year.
I told you...
I currently wear a 36DDD bra. This means I've been wearing an underwire bra pretty much since the dawn of time. This bra right here (well not this one, but another one by this company) has been a total game changer. It's expensive in my opinion, but oh so worth is. They have several others that are on sale that aren't for larger busts. Buy them all and then your boobs will thank me.
I have a feeling that my fantasy self ordered this. It is so beautiful and poetic... but will I wear it? Have you heard of buying clothes for your fantasy self?
Let's be honest here and I hope my honesty helps others... this is because it is a good deal and everyone has a Tory Burch bag. I know that is stupid. And I might return it. But I also don't want to spend way more time considering purchases and it becomes a form of consumerism in and of itself. I would rather learn from my mistakes. If I don't use it, I will learn. Buying brands to fit in is stupid especially if you don't use it. And still I purchased this.
I am going to live in this. This was all I should have purchased, well and the Frye boots, because good luck ripping this from my cold dead hands.
So I picked up a couple other basics, but these are the stand out items I purchased. Will you be purchasing anything?
