God Drops Snowflakes For You

"Late one night St. Francis Borgia arrived unexpectedly at a Jesuit house, in a snowstorm. He knocked and knocked on the door, but all to no purpose because the community being asleep, no one heard him. When morning came all were embarrassed for the discomfort he had experienced by having had to spend the night in the open. The saint, however, said he had enjoyed the greatest consolation during those long hours of the night by imagining that he saw our Lord up in the sky dropping the snowflakes down upon him." -Uniformity With God's Will by Saint Alphonsus de Ligouri

When we change our perspective on an event, it allows us to see how something is for us instead of against us.

What if God is placing the drivers in front of you for you so that you can learn how to be holy in your everyday moment.

Another way to think of it is that all things are blessings.

No traffic - blessing.  Praise God.  Lots of traffic - blessing.  Praise God.  Fast shopping with little interaction of other people - blessing.  Praise God.  Irritable shoppers making it difficult to even move through the store - blessing.  Praise God.

Lots of traffic gives you opportunity to pray for the safety of each driver you pass.

Irritable shoppers gives you the opportunity to love the Lord among you.

Dear one, when our very breath is a prayer we can carry our share in the cross with abundant joy.

Praise God!

My word for 2022 is Praise by the way so buckle up for lots more of that to come.
